Talking St Edmund on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Making History’

Photograph courtesy of Tom Holland

My research on the last resting place of St Edmund featured in this week’s episode of BBC Radio 4’s history programme ‘Making History’, presented by Tom Holland (listen from time signature 22:43). Tom and his producer paid a visit to the Abbey Ruins in Bury St Edmunds on the (very hot!) afternoon of Sunday 15 July, where Tom spoke to me about my hypothesis that Edmund may be buried under the tennis courts at the east end of the abbey church, which is outlined in my book Edmund: In Search of England’s Lost King.
