The Moral Maze: ‘Is Anything Sacred?’

This evening I was one of the guests on BBC Radio 4’s The Moral Maze, which discussed the question ‘Is Anything Sacred?’, in the context of widespread outrage about an apparent parody of Leonardo da Vinci’s the Last Supper at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. I was asked, along with fellow guests Melanie McDonagh, Andrew Copson and Fergus Butler-Gallie, to say something about what is sacred in the modern world and how that should feed into our moral choices.
